Dolly Doodle Machine Embroidery Project Box Release

Dolly Doodle Project Box
I am pleased to announce the launch of my Machine Embroidery Project Boxes.

I will be taking orders for this project box over the next two weeks and will personally make up each box with everything you will need to make either character cards for your friends, a small wall hanging, panel or journal cover motif. All colourful materials, patterns, instructions, beads buttons and ribbons will be presented in a durable box and will be with you, the first week of November.

Dolly Doodle is my first project box and is a free motion machine embroidery character that I have designed to help you become more confident with your free motion stitching.

She is based on a swatch of fabric adhered to a backing fabric and you are going to learn to draw in the details with your sewing machine.

She has many poses, skills and friends and looks forward to helping you gain confidence with your free motion stitching.

£17.50 plus £2.50 post and packing UK. Post and packing for abroad is also available.

ORDER YOUR PROJECT BOX TODAY FROM THE PROJECT BOX SECTION ON MY WEBSITE HERE.

News Release: Starting Tutorials on YouTube

Hi Everyone

The time has come to try something a bit different from the norm. So I am putting myself in the hands of my daughter Julia, who is going to use me as her project to get her social media skills up to par. This means that you are going to see my face and hear my voice on YouTube where Julia will be pushing me to make some long time coming tutorials. Our new trailer is already up there in YouTube land and we have 33 subscribers in three days.

We’re starting small and hoping to build it up as we learn on the job all about what we need to do.

The first thing we’ve needed to do and have now just done is to invest into some new tech so please be kind and stay with us as our first video is launching this week and has a soft edge appearance. By this I mean it could be better and cleaner but this does not detract from the great first job Julia has created.

First tutorial up will be a small Glitter Film Artist Panels that I have reasonably just taught at The Festival Of Quilts 2018. So for those of you who could not get onto my workshop, you will be able to have that experience at home and in your own time.

What is glitter film? Well, you will have to watch the tutorial and find out what this wonderful product is all about.

Please remember to like the tutorial and subscribe for free

See you all soon

Digitising meets my soldering iron. a new workshop for 2018

A new bow to my strings for 2018 and stimulating those brain cells big time

Digitised embroidery meets my soldering iron technique.
A day workshop running at Coles Sewing Centre, Nottingham on Friday 2nd March.

We will be loading and stitching out the elements required to make this layered panel with dimensional flowers. We will be removing layers to let other colours come through and then using a soldering iron to cut them out and put them together to make this beautiful see through flower panel.

Festival of Quilts 10th – 13th August

Hello there.

I will be at the FOQ wielding my soldering iron and inspiring you all on all the amazing things you can make using water soluble film and trapped organza fabrics along with a fine tipped soldering iron and a little reverse applique. Please do drop by E1 and see what I’m up to. Using a soldering iron instead of scissors is very liberating so don’t forget to come check out my stand full of amazing colour and 3-dimensional flower sculptures
